Bachelors bring in over $500,000
In 1999, a volunteer committee of nine ladies organized a Bachelor Auction to raise funds to help fight breast cancer in Northwestern Ontario. Over the past eleven years, volunteer committees continued the work of these nine women and the Bachelors for Hope Charity Auction became the premier “Ladies Night Out” event in Thunder Bay.
The Bachelors for Hope Charity Auction supports the Northern Cancer Fund of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation. Last night’s event raised over $63,000, bringing the eleven-year total to over half a million dollars. All funds continue to support the fight against breast cancer in Northwestern Ontario.
Support of the Bachelors for Hope Charity Auction truly makes a difference. Funds help Regional Cancer Care at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre to:
• Reduce breast cancer through education and awareness
• Increase access to breast cancer screening
• Improve breast cancer treatment.
Together, we are making Hope possible.
A half a million thanks goes out to all the past committee members, sponsors, volunteers and attendees over the past eleven years…each helped raise over half a million dollars to make HOPE possible for breast cancer patients of Northwestern Ontario. It is because of the dedication, commitment and devotion of all the volunteer committee members that the total amount raised by the Bachelors for Hope Charity Auction reached for $500,000 this year!
