Family CARE Grants
Because you CARE…Care Advancements Recommended by Employees
The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation is pleased to introduce the Family CARE (Care Advancements Recommended by Employees) Grants. The new grants provide Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre employees an opportunity to steer patient care improvement initiatives. Up to $20,000 (10 grants of up to $2,000 each) will be awarded to fund initiatives recommended by the Health Sciences Centre family for:
1. Patient and staff items that cannot be met by other sources.
2. Projects or items that will enhance the workplace environment.
3. Enhancement of internal health programs offered by the Health Sciences Centre.
Have you ever thought “_________ would make this better/easier for patients and their families”? Fill in the blank with your ideas or suggestions you’ve heard from patients and visitors. A new funding program was created to turn those ideas into reality.
Each donation the Foundation receives is a tribute to the efforts of Health Sciences Centre staff. The Foundation created the Family CARE grant to honour their role in excellence in patient care.
Applications for Family CARE Grants are due by October 1, 2009 and must be approved by the Clinical Lead/Program Director. For more information about the Family CARE grant, contact Katherine Frape at 684-7276.
