Hole-in-One at Celebrity Golf Clasic
It seems retired Boston Bruins goaltender John Adams may be a good-luck charm for golfers. Adams participated in today’s Freedom 55 Financial Thunder Bay Hockey Celebrity Golf Classic at Whitewater Golf course. On hole #8, his team mate Mario Letourneau scored a hole-in-one earning himself a brand-new Kia Soul 2U from Performace Kia, valued at $26,900.
Tom Mihaljevic, event chair and Director, Business Development for Freedom 55 Financial, says the hole-in-one makes a great fundraising event even better. “It’s tough to improve upon a golf tournament that raises funds for local cancer care, features hockey celebrities and takes place at a world-class golf course on a beautiful day,” he says. “But awarding a brand new vehicle to a participant is one way!” Mihaljevic praises the many sponsors who make the event, and hole-in-one prizes, possible.
Bruno Niederer, Dealer Principal, Owner, Performance Kia, couldn’t be happier. “In an effort to give back to this great community, we provide many, many hole-in-one sponsorships to charity golf events. I am extremely pleased that this prize has been awarded and congratulate Mr. Letourneau on his hole-in-one,” says Niederer.
Funds raised by today’s Freedom 55 Financial Thunder Bay Hockey Celebrity Golf Classic will support the Northern Cancer Fund of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.
