New and familiar faces welcomed to Health Sciences Foundation Board
At the Annual General Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Thunder Bay Regional
Health Sciences Foundation, new Directors were elected.
Vince Mirabelli, Realtor, is a long-time dedicated supporter of the Health Sciences
Foundation. He has served as chair of the Save a Heart Ball committee for the past three
years and volunteers in other capacities as well. “I know what it’s like need healthcare,”
says Vince. I am pleased that, as a new member of the Health Sciences Foundation’s
Board of Directors I can play a larger role in ensuring that care is available for others
when they need it most”
Returning to the Board is Mary Poulter, Chartered Accountant. Poulter served on the
Board of Directors of the former Northern Cancer Research Foundation (NCRF). “I am
very familiar with the NCRF’s impact on cancer service in Northwestern Ontario. I look
forward to working to advance all areas of care at our Health Sciences Centre,” she says.
Ken Bittle, Chair of the Board, welcomes the new Directors. “Vince and Mary both offer
specific and valuable skill sets to compliment the activities of the Board,” he notes.
“The people of Northwestern Ontario are well represented.”
John Trevisanutto retired from the Board of Directors after almost seven years of
service. Trevisanutto’s volunteer work with the Foundation will continue as he provides significant support to several fundraising events and activities.
Bittle commends Trevisanutto for his ongoing dedication to healthcare in Northwestern
Ontario. “John’s efforts alone have raised significant funds for our Health Sciences Centre.
His commitment is outstanding,” he says.
