Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre hosted a grade 7/8 class from Nor’Wester View Public School as part of their STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) curriculum. The students participated in various hands on stations including; CPR/AED, mannequin technology, wound care, and moulage (using makeup to simulate wounds). Afterwards, they were able to utilize their new skills in a group trauma simulation. The students were excited to participate in the day and provided very positive feedback about this excellent learning opportunity.
