The Thunder Bay Autosport Club celebrated 50 years of racing in 2017! On Aug 15 they held their fourth annual AutoX fundraiser for the Northern Cancer Fund. This event, which is held at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, has grown each year. Starting with donations close to $6,800.00 in 2014, in 2017 a new record was reached with $10,825.38 raised.

The club’s members are proud to support the fight against cancer and appreciate the corporate support they receive from companies such as Mahon Electric, Halfway Motors along with GFL to offset the cost of the event in order to drive more funds directly to the fundraising efforts. The club has fundraised for various causes over the years, but in the past four years the club has focused their efforts in partnering with the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation to provide exceptional cancer care. The club looks forward to raising the bar in 2018 and invites the public to come out and witness the event which is scheduled for August 12 at parking lot I of the Hospital.
