Where can I buy tickets?

You can buy tickets online at www.thunderbay5050.ca. We are currently not able to offer in-person or phone ticket sales for this raffle.

 

How much are tickets?

5 numbers for $10

30 numbers for $20

150 numbers for $50 (best value)

 

Who is eligible to buy 50/50 draw tickets?

Anyone currently or temporarily residing in Ontario who is not Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation Staff nor Board of Directors are eligible to buy tickets and win the prize(s). Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre staff, volunteers, physicians, patients, and families are all eligible to buy tickets and win the prize(s). You must be over 18 to purchase tickets and/or claim a prize.

How many tickets will be sold?

There is no limit to the number of tickets that be sold. The jackpot grows progressively, so the more tickets that are purchased, the more there is to win!

 

When’s the draw date?

There are two Early Bird draws of $500 each on Friday, Jan 29, 2021 and Friday, Feb 12, 2021. The grand prize draw for the jackpot will be held Friday, Feb 26, 2021 at 11 AM EST. All ticket purchases prior to a deadline are eligible for subsequent draws.


Where does the money go?

Can I purchase tickets as a gift for someone else?

A: Yes, you may. Please follow these steps to purchase the tickets in someone else's name:

In Step 1:

  • Choose the number of tickets you'd like to gift to them.

In Step 2:

  • Enter the name and address of the person you would like to gift the tickets to.
  • If it's a group ticket, use the group leader's name and add "in trust" after the last name. (Only one person's name can be on the ticket.)
  • You can either enter your email address if you want to hold the ticket until it's time to give it to them
  • or email it directly to them by typing their email address into the field.

In Step 3:

  • Enter your own info as the purchaser.


Will I receive a tax receipt for my purchase?

We do not issue tax receipts for participation in the 50/50 raffle. Lottery and/or any gaming tickets where there is the possibility to win a prize, are not tax deductible in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency policies.
