National Aboriginal Day (June 21st) is a day for all Canadians to recognize the unique heritage, the diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Métis and Inuit people. Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre took part in the celebrations to honour the outstanding achievements of Indigenous people in our region and health sciences community. The day’s activities included a traditional drum song, prayer, teaching, and free bannock and tea for staff, physicians, volunteers, patients, and visitors.
