Bringing cardiac care closer to home The Northern Cardiac Fund raises funds that are 100% dedicated to supporting excellence in cardiac care in Northwestern Ontario. With your support we can save lives. A staggering 70% of people living in Northwestern Ontario have at least one major risk factor for heart disease, and currently 1 in 2 deaths are directly related to heart disease. We need your help to bring more cardiac services closer to home.

The Gold Standard in cardiac care

Many people in Northwestern Ontario diagnosed with heart problems must travel to Ottawa, Hamilton, and other centres for cardiac care.  They deserve closer-to-home cardiac care. 

Donations to the Northern Cardiac Fund help.  100% of the funds donated to the Northern Cardiac Fund stay in Northwestern Ontario and will help to:

• increase the level of closer-to-home cardiac services
• reduce the amount of travel cardiac patients must endure
• provide closer-to-home cardiac care to hundreds more heart patients every year
• increase the number of cardiac doctors and other health professionals working in the region

The Health Sciences Foundation believes that Northwestern Ontario deserves the Gold Standard when it comes to cardiac care.  We are making that happen.  Together, we are bringing cardiac care closer to home.
