How to Play the Game!
Chase the Case presented by Doane Grant Thornton is a high-energy twist on a live auction, with mystery and strategy built in!
Here's how it works!
Mystery Cases: 15 Amazing Prizes
-
Each prize pack will be detailed in your program.
-
Cases are revealed over 3 rounds of bidding (5 cases per round).
-
You're bidding to choose a case you think holds the prize you want.
Symposium: Free Clues
-
During the symposium take a look at the program for a free clue
-
These will be vague but will give some indication about which prizes are in which cases
-
Watch and listen for all 3 free clues
Dinner: Collect the Clues
-
Phone the RBC Banker for a $20 donation to collect more specific clues
-
You can't ask questions yet, but these will give you more context to piece together what might be where and you can call as many times as you want
-
Keep your notes on the provided notebook to strategize with your table
Auction: Put it all together
-
The prize packages are put in a round based on value so you'll know the range that you should be bidding in
-
If you bid and win, you'll get to pick a case, but before you pick you can now call the RBC Banker and ask a question for $100 which will eliminate two cases.
-
Remember: you will already have some idea of what prizes are where by this point
-
If you really don't want to take a chance, you can donate $250 to find out exactly what case the prize that you want is in
What if I get something I don't want?
-
Just like the Bachelor Auction, there is always a risk of missing out on what you're bidding on
-
But remember, our community is filled with incredible things to do and to try, and they showed up with support for our packages. No matter what, you won't be disappointed
-
There will be enough clues given out, that if you strategize and keep track, it won't be much of a mystery
Things to remember:
-
You will be full of information before the auction begins, but most importantly...
-
100% of the proceeds from the Auction are going directly to the Northern Cancer Fund for Breast Cancer. Your bids fund equipment for exceptional breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and research here at home.
