You can celebrate the birth of a child born at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. The First Marks Club gives proud parents, grandparents, family and friends a lasting way to mark the birth of a child born at the Health Sciences Centre. Baby's personalized footprint with the name and birth date will be permanently added to the Celebration of Life Wall in the Maternal Child Unit. Baby's name will also be published on our website and listed on our electronic kiosk located in the main hallway of the Health Sciences Centre. Additionally, baby's name will be published in the Chronicle Journal the month after enrollment.
All proceeds from the First Marks Club help fund equipment and programs to care for the previous patients in the Maternal Child unit. For example:
- infant warmers
- isolettes
- monitors for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care and
- Neonatal Emergency Care Training Equipment
Tax receipts will be issued for the full gift amount. Note: minimum donation for enrollment is $250.
