Golfers enjoyed a beautiful day at the 16th Intercity Shopping Centre and Moxie’s Bar & Grill Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament has raised $138,350 for local healthcare since it started.

Part of that $11,000 will be donated to the Northern Cardiac Fund, which is dedicated to bringing the very best cardiovascular care closer to home. Most recently, donors to the Northern Cardiac Fund have helped outfit the cardiac catheterization lab with a new c-arm, and make EVAR surgery a reality in Thunder Bay.

The rest will be donated to the WE-Can program, a 10-week wellness and exercise program specially designed for people living with cancer. Through specialized assessment, exercise, education, and group support it strengthens them and helps them get their life back on track. WE-Can is funded entirely by generous donations, so this gift will go a long way to support local cancer patients.

Thank you to everyone who took part including players, volunteers, and sponsors! You’ve helped the tournament raise $138,350 since it began, and every cent has helped improve healthcare right here in Thunder Bay.
