A Quiet Gift. A Lasting Impact.

Donations are having a positive impact on many lives at the Linda Buchan Centre, including through the new mammography unit made possible by an anonymous donor.

Most gifts to the Health Sciences Foundation arrive with a name attached. Others arrive with something even more powerful - a quiet desire to make life better for people they may never meet.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of an anonymous donor, the Diagnostic Imaging Department at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre now has a new state-of-the-art mammography unit, bringing advanced breast screening technology to our community.

For many, a mammogram is more than a routine test. It is often a moment filled with uncertainty, vulnerability and hope. This new piece of equipment will provide better images, greater comfort, and the opportunity for earlier detection, giving patients and their family's one of life's greatest gifts: time.

Time to begin treatment sooner. Time to celebrate milestones. Time to create more memories with the people they love.

The true beauty of this gift extends far beyond the technology itself. It lives in the kindness and compassion that inspired it. It is a beautiful reminder that one act of generosity can touch thousands of lives, offering hope and reassurance for years to come.

To our anonymous donor-THANK YOU!
