Alumni of the Fort William Redskins Football Team recently held their annual reunion and celebrated by making a generous donation of $2,460 to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation. Rob McCormack said, “It was important to us to give to the Hospital; a place where both we and our families have been treated.”
The Fort William Redskins Football Team played in the 1950s and went on to become National Champions in 1958. Many players were veterans from World War II and played football after returning home from the War. The team travelled all over Canada to take part in games; mostly travelling by train. While they no longer play football, they greatly enjoy seeing each other every year!
