Raising over $50,000 is no small feat but a determined group of individuals – as part of the United Commercial Travelers Thunder Bay Council 1039 – have been up to the task. Over the past few years they’ve held multiple raffles raising money to purchase various pieces of equipment at the Hospital; most recently for diagnostic Imaging. Tickets have sold so well they’ve sold out well in advance of draw dates! But the UCT aren’t new donors – in fact, they’ve been supporting the Hospital for decades (since 1988) with donations to various places including the Renal Department and Cancer Centre.

Not ones to stop, they’re raising funds again this year to support the x-ray department at the Hospital through a 50/50 draw. Tickets are just $2 each with the draw taking place on November 3. You’ll frequently find these smiling faces in the Hospital’s main hallway so be sure to drop by to thank them for all their hard work and purchase your ticket!
