The Health Sciences Foundation’s mission is to inspire the people of Northwestern Ontario to give generously to enable the advancement of world-class healthcare at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Leading this mission is your Health Sciences Foundation Board of Directors. These volunteers are a dedicated and hard-working group of individuals that care passionately about ensuring our community has the best healthcare possible. Your Board of Directors is the legal authority for the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation. As a member of the Board, a Director acts in a position of trust for the community and is responsible for the governance of the organization. The primary responsibilities of the Board are to ensure the Foundation has adequate resources to fulfill its mission and vision, to hire a President & CEO and to ensure proper board succession planning thereby ensuring the sustainability and relevancy of the Foundation.
Your Board of Directors is a diverse group with backgrounds in law, accounting, engineering, construction and more. They volunteer their time to serve the Health Sciences Foundation and our community. Each Director is carefully selected to ensure the Board is well-rounded with a variety of perspectives and skills.
