TV personality and fashion icon Jeanne Beker is coming to Thunder Bay for the 32nd Annual Tbaytel Luncheon of Hope.

TV personality and fashion icon Jeanne Beker is coming to Thunder Bay for the 32nd Annual Tbaytel Luncheon of Hope on October 17th, to share her breast cancer story.

“It's going to be a truly special afternoon. A chance to connect, reflect, and be inspired by a woman whose voice and style have shaped Canadian media and culture for decades says,” Hospital Foundation Events Manager, Haley Werbowetski.

Apart from her long career in Canadian broadcasting, Jeanne Beker has been the style editor at The Shopping Channel (TSC) since 2015, where she hosts the popular series Style Matters.

A pioneer in Canadian media, Jeanne is one of the country's most influential women in arts and culture. She was a founding member of MuchMusic and the iconic host of Fashion Television, which aired in 130 countries over 27 years, establishing her as Canada's face of fashion.

In addition to her current role at TSC, Jeanne has been at the creative helm of several fashion lines, has authored six bestselling books—including her recent memoir Heart on My Sleeve: Stories from a Life Well Worn—and has co-produced the fashion documentary series Kingdom of Dreams.

A breast cancer survivor, Jeanne is candid and compassionate in sharing the highs and lows of her own journey. She's passionate about normalizing the cancer conversation and helping eliminate the fear so many associate with it.

Her groundbreaking contributions have earned her countless honours, including being named to the Order of Canada, a star on Canada's Walk of Fame, and induction into the American Marketing Association's Hall of Legends.
