High Stakes, Higher Impact: Bullseye Chase the Case Is Back for Round Two
Published Monday, January 26, 2026

Chase the Case models, committee members, and breast cancer speaker celebrate $42,071 raised on event night in 2025 in support of the Northern Cancer Fund.
After a standout inaugural year, Chase the Case presented by Doane Grant Thornton quickly became Thunder Bay's favourite game show–style fundraiser. Now, the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation is gearing up for round two on Thursday, April 16th.
Created by the Foundation's events team, Bullseye Chase the Case was designed to shake up traditional fundraising. The goal is simple: support breast cancer research and the Northern Cancer Fund while delivering an experience that engages the audience to participate in the action, instead of just watching it.
Guests are invited to take part in a fully immersive experience, beginning with a Symposium, followed by a full course dinner, both a travel and bling blitz, and let's not forget a live in person game-show inspired by the ever-popular Deal or No Deal. The night features some of the most exciting prize packages Thunder Bay has ever seen, from golf and beauty packages to travel, food and beverage, and the coveted Golden Case, there is truly something for everyone. What makes Bullseye Chase the Case presented by Doane Grant Thornton unique is that it's not just something to watch, it's something to be part of and is something that engages the audience to be a part of the entertainment. Whether bidding on a prize, or celebrating the cause, the energy in the room is electric from start to finish.
This year, the excitement is dialed up with Bullseye Games stepping in as Title Sponsor. A true homegrown success story, Bullseye Games is a Fortnite creative studio known for building practice games that help players sharpen their skills. They are one of Fortnite's largest creators and a proud Thunder Bay business giving back to its community.
The partnership couldn't be a better fit. Founders Josh Francis and Matthew Eaton are both Thunder Bay locals with a personal connection to the cause. Josh's mother is a long-time Foundation supporter, a frequent speaker at Foundation events, and a breast cancer survivor herself. His Father, an Ophthalmologist, has also worked with the Foundation on appeals in the past to help fund equipment at the hospital.
Beyond the entertainment, the impact is real. Funds raised through Bullseye Chase the Case directly support the Northern Cancer Fund for breast cancer, helping ensure people in Northwestern Ontario can receive world-class cancer care close to home.
The event is also powered by incredible support from many other local businesses. Many prizes are built through generous in-kind donations, highlighting the strength of Thunder Bay's giving community and a commitment to making a difference.
Returning to the stage this year are some familiar Thunder Bay favourites, including Spencer Hari as MC, Katie Nicholls as auctioneer, and Candi Badanai, bringing her signature energy to the room.
Whether you're a long-time supporter of the Foundation, a first-time guest, or a business looking to make a meaningful impact, Bullseye Chase the Case round two offers a chance to be part of something really special. Guests are encouraged to grab a seat, pick a case, and get ready for a night of high energy, laughter, and unforgettable moments, all in support of cancer care right here at home.
Unlike its predecessor, the Bachelor Auction, Bullseye Chase the Case is an event for everyone and not just the ladies. Guys, don't you worry, we've got plenty of prize packages with your name on them too! From high value experiences to crowd favourite giveaways, there's something for everyone in the room. Tickets will go fast, so grab yours before they sell out at www.healthsciencesfoundation.ca/case.
