If you've noticed the words "Rewards+" popping up next to winners' names on the Thunder Bay 50/50 winners page, or you've heard someone mention it in passing, here's what they mean: that person just got an extra $1,000 on top of their prize, simply for being a subscriber.
Rewards+ is the Thunder Bay 50/50's loyalty program, and the numbers from its first eight months tell a remarkable story. Since the first Rewards+ winners appeared in November 2025, 102 subscribers have won Early Bird prizes while their subscription was active; earning a combined $102,000 in bonus payouts on top of what they already won.
The program couldn't be simpler. Anyone with an active monthly subscription is automatically enrolled; no sign-up, no extra cost. Win any Early Bird draw while subscribed and an extra $1,000 lands on top of your prize.
The math makes sense when you consider what a subscription does: tickets renew automatically each month and are issued on the first day of every new draw, so subscribers are entered in every single Early Bird; including the early-in-the-month draws that casual players often miss. Subscriptions also travel well: while you must be in Ontario for your initial purchase, renewals continue wherever you are, a favourite feature among snowbirds.
