Ken's 30th Anniversary

I’m trying to support the Northern Cancer Fund by raising money to shave off and regrow my moustache during Movember.

In 1989 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. My Oncologist, a saint of a man named Dr. Dhali Dhaliwal, ordered chemotherapy followed up with radiation. Living in Dryden at the time, that meant lots of daily pills and a monthly trip to the Cancer Centre in Thunder Bay for the IV injections. After 9 months Dr. Dhaliwal advised that advances in research led him to decide to not follow up with radiation so from October 1989 we started monitoring my health.

Thirty years later, here we are. On Nov. 1st, I shaved my ‘stash - no small decision. The last picture of me without a moustache was taken approx. 40 years ago. I didn't even lose it during my chemo, but it did get thin. As I grow it back, help me to help this group of men and women as they strive to beat cancer. Your support is greatly appreciated.
