Parker (right) and Peyton (left) Peirce, 10-year old twins, recently celebrated their birthday playing hockey but when it came time for gifts, these two generous boys decided that kids at the Hospital needed toys more than they did. They decided to ask all their friends to donate games, books, puzzles and more instead of bringing a gift to the party. Their inspiration? Parker has spent quite a bit of time at the Hospital and noticed there weren’t a lot of items to entertain kids while they waited.

Once all the items were gathered, the boys brought in all the donations to the Paediatric Department, and they were happily accepted by Crystal Edwards (left), Director, Women’s and Children’s Programs and Mandi Merkley (right), Child Life Specialist. The toys will be used in many areas where kids may have to wait, including the Paediatric Outpatient Area, the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit lounge.

Thank you boys!
