Cruising for a Cure: Jeep Raffle Launches in Support of Breast Cancer Care

Members of the Health Sciences Foundation with the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition outside Lakehead Motors mark the launch of the Cruising for a Cure: Jeep Raffle

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation, in partnership with Lakehead Motors, is proud to announce the launch of Cruising for a Cure: Jeep Raffle.

The raffle launches this Friday, September 26 at 11:30 a.m., just in time to kick off October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One lucky winner will take home a rare 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition in Tuscadero Pearl valued at over $160,000.

This is not just any Jeep — it's the most powerful Wrangler ever built and a true collector's item, with only 300 made available across Canada. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition is powered by a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine and is designed for both high performance and off-road adventure. It features unique touches like a one-inch suspension lift, 35-inch tires, special badging, and a factory-installed winch, making it unlike anything else on the road. Finished in bold pink Tuscadero Pearl, a colour long tied to breast cancer awareness, this rare model combines the Jeep's legendary strength and power with the resilience of those facing cancer.

“Cancer has touched both my family and our team at Lakehead Motors in very real ways,” says Lakehead Motors President, Michael Comuzzi. “I lost a close family member to this disease, and I've watched our General Sales Manager go through months of difficult treatment. Those experiences stay with you. They make you want to do something. This raffle is our way of giving back: to honour the people we've lost, to support those who are still fighting, and to make sure patients here in Northwestern Ontario can get the best care close to home.”

“This raffle is about so much more than the chance to win a vehicle,” says Hospital Foundation CEO, Glenn Craig. “It's about the generosity of Lakehead Motors, who have turned their own experiences with cancer into something that will help countless families across Northwestern Ontario. We are deeply grateful for their partnership, and we know this Jeep will inspire our community to come together in support of breast cancer care.”
